Frequently asked questions
Everything about sizing, shipping, duties, returns and materials. If your question is not here, ask us directly — we reply within one business day.
Orders & payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
PayPal. Their checkout accepts your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a debit or credit card — Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and you do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. Payment is completed on PayPal's own secure page, and we never see or store your card number.
Which currencies can I pay in?
US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Singapore dollars and Japanese yen. Switch currency from the header on any page — the price you see is the price you are charged, in that currency.
Do I need an account to order?
No. Checkout takes an email address and a delivery address. That is it.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Email support@lattov.com within 12 hours of ordering. Because everything is printed to order, we cannot change an order once production has started — but you can always return an unworn piece.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Card data is entered on the payment provider's own page over TLS and we never receive it. Our site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy and no third-party tracking scripts.
My card was declined. What now?
Overseas merchants are blocked by default at some banks. A quick call to your bank usually clears it, or you can try a different card or funding source inside PayPal's checkout. Nothing is charged when a payment fails.
Sizing & fit
How do I find my ring size?
Two reliable ways:
- Measure an existing ring. Measure the inside diameter in millimetres and match it below. This is the most accurate method.
- Measure your finger. Wrap a strip of paper snugly around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres. That is your circumference.
| US | Inside diameter | Circumference |
|---|---|---|
| US 5 | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| US 6 | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| US 7 | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| US 8 | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| US 9 | 18.9 mm | 59.5 mm |
| US 10 | 19.8 mm | 62.1 mm |
| US 11 | 20.6 mm | 64.6 mm |
| US 12 | 21.4 mm | 67.2 mm |
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and avoid measuring when cold. Between two sizes? Size up for wide bands, size down for narrow. Our comfort-fit interiors run about half a size generous.
What if the ring does not fit?
Return it unworn within 30 days and we will send the correct size. First exchange on sizing is free — we cover shipping both ways.
How long are the necklaces and chains?
Pendants come with 40 cm (16"), 45 cm (18"), 50 cm (20") and 60 cm (24") options. 45 cm sits at the collarbone, which is the most common choice; 60 cm works over a jumper.
Will the Hex Cuff fit my wrist?
Measure your wrist circumference and add 10 mm. Small fits 145–160 mm, Medium 160–175 mm, Large 175–195 mm. The cuff has a living flex so it opens to slip on and closes to stay put.
Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship from and how long does it take?
Everything ships from Shenzhen, China. Production takes 2–3 business days, then:
| Destination | Standard | Express |
|---|---|---|
| Asia | 6–12 business days | 3–5 business days |
| North America | 8–16 business days | 3–5 business days |
| Europe & UK | 8–16 business days | 3–5 business days |
| Australia & NZ | 8–15 business days | 3–5 business days |
| Middle East & Africa | 10–20 business days | 4–7 business days |
| South America | 12–22 business days | 5–8 business days |
How much is shipping?
Standard tracked shipping is free on orders over $75. Below that it starts at $3.90 depending on destination. Express courier (DHL or FedEx) starts at $14.90 and is free on orders over $250. Exact prices are shown at checkout before you pay.
Is everything tracked?
Yes — every parcel has a tracking number, standard or express. You get it by email the moment it leaves the workshop.
Can you ship to a different address than my billing address?
Yes. Enter the delivery address at checkout; billing details are handled separately by the payment provider.
My parcel is late. What should I do?
Check the tracking first — customs holds are the most common cause of a delay and they are always visible in tracking. If there has been no movement for 10 days, email us and we will chase it or reship it.
Duties & taxes
Are import duties and taxes included in the price?
Not by default. Orders ship from Shenzhen, and low-value import rules changed substantially in 2025 and 2026 — the old assumption that small parcels arrive tax-free no longer holds in most major markets. Here is the position as of October 2026:
- United States. There is no low-value duty exemption any more — it was suspended for China and Hong Kong in May 2025 and for all origins in August 2025, and is now indefinite. Every parcel requires a customs entry, and duty plus a merchandise processing fee can be charged on delivery. Section 301 tariffs on Chinese-origin goods still apply on top.
- European Union. VAT applies from the first euro, and since 1 July 2026 a flat €3 customs duty per item applies to consignments up to €150. Both are normally collected at import unless the order ships DDP.
- United Kingdom. 20% import VAT applies from the first pound. Duty relief on consignments up to £135 still stands (reviewed for removal in October 2028).
- Australia. Goods up to A$1,000 clear without duty, but 10% GST applies from the first dollar.
- Canada. Duty and tax apply from CAD 20 on courier shipments.
- Japan. Duty and consumption tax are waived where the taxable value is ¥10,000 or less.
- Singapore. GST applies from the first dollar on low-value goods.
Where a charge applies, the carrier contacts you before delivery and may add a handling fee of its own. Our prices do not include any of it, and we do not absorb it — which is why we would always rather quote you a delivered figure up front.
Can you ship with duties paid (DDP)?
Yes, on request. Email support@lattov.com with your delivery country and the pieces you want and we will quote a delivered-duty-paid total before you order. For orders over roughly $250 to the US or EU this is usually the cheapest way to buy, because it avoids the carrier handling fee and any doorstep surprise.
Can you mark my parcel as a gift or declare a lower value?
No. Falsifying a customs declaration is illegal and we will not do it, however the request is phrased. Every parcel leaves Shenzhen with an accurate commercial invoice, and we keep the documentation trail to prove it.
What if I refuse to pay a customs charge?
If a parcel is refused and returned to us, we refund the order value minus the outbound and return shipping cost. If you are unsure whether a charge will apply to your address, ask us before ordering — we can tell you what to expect for most destinations.
Do you have a VAT number for EU or UK business buyers?
Contact support@lattov.com for business orders requiring a VAT or commercial invoice. We can issue one with our details for your records.
Returns & warranty
What is your return policy?
30 days from delivery, unworn and in its original box. Email returns@lattov.com with your order reference and we will send return instructions. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of the parcel arriving.
For hygiene reasons, earrings can only be returned if the seals are unbroken. Personalised and engraved pieces cannot be returned.
Who pays return shipping?
If the piece is faulty or we sent the wrong item, we pay both ways. For a change of mind, the return shipping is yours — typically $6–$12 depending on where you are.
What does the warranty cover?
Two years against manufacturing defects: cracks, failed hinges, delamination, and plating that wears through under normal use. It does not cover accidental damage, scratches from everyday wear, or damage from perfume, chlorine or solvents.
How do I get a replacement under warranty?
Email a photo and your order reference to support@lattov.com. We will confirm by return and either repair or reprint the piece at no cost.
Materials & care
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Everything we sell is nickel-free. Earring posts are surgical-grade titanium or stainless steel. PA12 nylon is a skin-safe, biocompatible-class polymer. If you have had reactions to costume jewellery before, stick to the nylon, steel and silver pieces.
Can I wear it in the shower or at the beach?
Nylon and steel handle water fine. Take plated and resin pieces off first: chlorine dulls plating and UV yellows resin. Salt water is fine for steel but dry it afterwards.
How do I clean my piece?
Lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, then pat dry with a soft cloth. Never use alcohol, acetone or an ultrasonic cleaner on resin or plated pieces. Silver can be polished with a standard silver cloth.
Will the matte black nylon change over time?
The colour is dye-penetrated rather than coated, so it will not flake. Very high-wear areas on a ring can burnish to a subtle sheen after a year or two — many people prefer it. It cannot be restored to full matte.
Custom & wholesale
Do you take custom commissions?
Yes, for engraved versions of existing designs and for parametric variations (a different lattice density, a wider band, a matching pair). Email hello@lattov.com with your idea. Lead time is usually 2–3 weeks.
Do you offer wholesale or stockist pricing?
Yes, from 20 units per design. Get in touch with your store details and estimated volume and we will send a line sheet.
